Art Therapy

What is Mindfulness-based Art Therapy?

We fund an eight-week, clinically-supervised program led by a certified art therapist. Young adults navigating life after cancer treatment explore artmaking as a way of listening inward and expressing what words can’t hold.

Sessions combine mindfulness practices with creative exploration, providing space for reflection, connection, and emotional healing. Each creative process unfolds differently – through experimentation, reflection, or release – as participants find strength and meaning through shared artistic expression.

“Postcards for Fellow Travellers”

On December 4th, 2025, patients from last year’s Art Therapy program showcased their work at Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation – stepping forward not as patients, but as artists to share deeply personal pieces that channel healing into creative expression.
