On April 18th, with generous support from Scotiabank, Alli’s Journey is proudly presenting Heart and Soul, a concert to benefit young people living with cancer. The fabulous lineup consists of Amanda Martinez, Bill Bridges, George Masswohl, Mark Masri, Micah Barnes, Ma-Anne Dionisio, Susan Cuthbert, Theresa Tova, with musical director David Warrack. We are thrilled to have Bill Bridges on the bill. Bill began playing the guitar when he was about 13 or so and had his 15th birthday on the road with a R&R band. Since then he has toured the world. Bill has recorded extensively, worked in theatre orchestras, and with such artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Petula Clarke, Eartha Kitt, Vic Damone, Tony Bennet and many others. He toured with Lena Horne and was John McDermott’s musical director and guitarist for many years. Bill is a member of The Shaw Festival Orchestra, been guest soloist with several of Canada’s finest orchestras and often plays with The National Art Centre Orchestra. He still enjoys “jobbing around” and intends to make music until he’s very old.
